ISOCin eettinen säännöstö tekeillä

ISOCin hallitus asetti kokouksessaan kesäkuussa 2002 komitean
kehittämään ISOCin henkilöjäsenten eettisen säännöstön (ISOC
Code of Conduct). Ensimmäinen versio on ollut alajaostojen
toimihenkilöiden kommentoitavana lokakuun aikana. Saatujen
kommenttien pohjalta on tehty versio (final draft), joka on
luettavissa osoitteessa:

Jäseniä kehoitetaan tutustumaan siihen ja tarvittaessa
kommentoimaan sitä. Kommentit voi lähettää osoitteeseen
hallitus@siy.fi.

ISOC-ECC vaalit

ISOCin Euroopan alajaostojen koordinaationeuvoston (European
Chapters Coordination Council, ISOC-ECC) on parhaillaan
valitsemassa seuraavia toimihenkilöitä:

Puheenjohtaja (President/Chairperson)
Varapuheenjohtaja (Executive Vice President)

Äänioikeus vaaleissa on niillä kahdeksallatoista
eurooppalaisilla alajaostoilla, jotka ovat allekirjoittaneet
ISOC-ECC:n Kööpenhaminan kokouksessa (2. - 3.11.2002)
päivitetyn MoU:n (Memorandum of Understanding).

Äänestys päättyy 14.12. ja tulokset julkistetaan 16.12. ISOC
Finlandin puheenjohtaja on vaaleissa ehdolla ISOC-ECC:n
puheenjohtajaksi.

ICANN vuosikokous Amsterdamissa

ICANNin (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers)
vuosikokous, jossa vahvistetaan Shanghain kokouksessa tehdyt
päätökset uusista säännöistä ja At-Large Advisory Committeen
perustamisesta, pidetään 14. - 15.12.2002 Amsterdamissa. ISOC
Finlandin puheenjohtaja osallistuu 14.12. aamupäivällä
järjestettävään At-Large Organizing Committeen kokoukseen ja
iltapäivällä pidettävään ICANN Public Forumiin.

English summary

* During the June 2002 Board meeting a committee was formed to
develop a Code of Conduct for ISOC Individual Members. A
first draft was circulated and reviewed by Chapter Delegates
in October. Based on those comments a final draft has been
prepared and has been circulated to the Chapter Delegates. The
final draft is available from the ISOC web site but only
through this URL:

All members are encouraged to review it and provide comments
to their Chapter Delegates (hallitus@siy.fi).

* The ISOC European Chapters Coordination Council, ISOC-ECC is
at the moment in the process of electing its
President/Chairperson and Executive Vice President. The
eighteen European Chapters that have signed the Memorandum of
Understanding as revised in the Copenhagen meeting Nov 2 - 3,
2002 are eligible to vote. The President of ISOC Finland is
nominated as a candidate for the President/Chairperson ISOC
ECC position. The winners of the election will be declared on
Dec 16.

* The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers,
ICANN is having its annual meeting on Saturday and Sunday, 14
and 15 December 2002 in Amsterdam. The President of ISOC
Finland is participating an At-Large Organizing Committee
meeting prior to the official meeting and the ICANN Public
Forum.
