Syyskokous lähestyy

ISOC Finlandin syyskokous pidetään keskiviikkoiltana 10. joulukuuta Helsingissä. Kokouskutsu ja tarkemmat tiedot ajasta, paikasta ja ohjelmasta lähetetään jäsenille piakkoin.

ICANN At-Large Structure Organization -hakemus jätetty

ISOC Finland on hakenut ICANNin At-Large Advisory Committeelta At-Large Structure Organization -statusta. Käytännössä tämä tarkoittaasi sitä että mikäli hakemus hyväksytään, ISOC Finland sitoutuu levittämään ICANN-tietoutta ja edistämään yksittäisten Internet-käyttäjien osallistumista Internetin nimihallintoon liittyviin kysymyksiin. Lisäksi ISOC Finland tulee osallistumaan eurooppalaisen ICANN käyttäjäorganisaation, RALOn (Regional At-Large Organization), perustamiseen.
